Välinge Sets Up Fund To Protect 5Gs Licensees

Viken, Sweden, Feb. 25, 2010–Välinge said it has decided to offer all new licensees of its 5Gs technology protection against claims for license fees from other parties.

The installation technology uses a side push tongue on laminate and wood floorings. Several Välinge licensees have already decided to introduce 5Gs on a large scale.

Valinge said the technology is so different from other locking systems and patents that Välinge has decided establish a fund “with considerable assets” that could be used to finance legal actions and provide security for unjustified license claims from other parties.
