Välinge Takes Action against Classen and Akzenta

Viken, Sweden – June 27, 2007–Välinge filed on June 25th 2007 an infringement case in the District Court of Mannheim based on its registered Utility Model DE 20 200 6019 869. The complaint is directed against Classen´s Megaloc product and involves several companies of the Classen group : Akzenta Paneele + Profile GmbH, Classen Industries GmbH and Classen Vertriebs GmbH.

The above mentioned utility Model is based on Välinge’s PCT application WO 2006/104436 and covers a 2-piece locking solution utilizing a hook shaped locking element made out of a different material than the core of the flooring panel, allowing a single fold down motion action during installation of the floor panels.

Välinge has also initiated opposition procedure before the European patent Office against Classen’s Megaloc patent EP 1415056.
