Wholesale Inventores Rise in January


Washington, DC, March 9, 2012 —  Wholesale inventories rose 0.4% in January, the Commerce Department said Friday.

The increase was slightly smaller than expected. Economists had forecast an increase of about 0.6% in the month.

Inventories in December were revised to show a gain of 1.1% compared with the initial estimate of a 1.0% increase.
