Wholesale Inventories Decline in December

Washington, DC, Feb. 8, 2013 — Wholesale inventories fell 0.1% in December, the Commerce Department said.

Economists were expecting an increase of about 0.4%.

This is the third decline since January 2009.

The decline was largely due to auto dealers and agricultural suppliers drawing down their stocks.
