Wholesale Inventories, Sales Rise in July

Washington, DC, Sept. 10, 2014 — Wholesale inventories ticked up in July by the smallest amount in a year, according to the Commerce Department.

However, sales rose at a strong pace.

Wholesale inventories rose by a slight 0.1% in July. It was the smallest gain since a 0.1% increase in July 2013.

However, sales rose 0.7% in July, up from 0.4% in June.
